So I was preparing for passover this afternoon and making matzah. The problem was that something went wrong somewhere and the matzah turn out more like tortillas (and air bubbles accidently formed) would it be ok to still use these matzah for the pesach seder or should I just cave in and buy some? (also suggestions as to what went wrong would help)

There was no yeast used to

cause the bread to rise?

So by tradition you are good.

I think.

I would just cave in and buy some... but then again I'm a shitty cook, LOL.

P.S. Have a great seder & Passover.

I know you're supposed to make it yourself, but I always buy mine. I make everything else from scratch. Every year I break at least one of the eggs.

Cheers,

crackerbread? Yeah, pretty much. Matzoh is flat and brittle like a cracker. But it's different from saltines.

Thats what I thought at first, then I figured perhaps one of the forums other Jewish users would have some advice. Plus its a religious food for a religious holiday which is why its here.

So, basically we aint swapp'n recipes or coupons, but your question is whether you should make the bread with the effort of perfection (unblemished ?)that would be due to the God that your religion worships or say 'who cares, i tried'.

What does your heart of hearts tell you?

^^^

P.S. God knows that we make mistakes. And that we learn from them. If it was your best effort, with the best intentions.. well, i'm sure God would say, "this is good".

But i guess that is from my Christian perspective.

I used them anyways, i figured even though they didn't look like matzah they did still conform to the laws of kashrut and afterall all they needed to be were unleavened bread.
