I hear people call the religious zealots "mindless zombies" who do as they're told, and I've heard religious zealots call the non believers "the paragon of whats wrong with society". Now my message to the masses. Why does it matter? If you have a christian, or a catholic, or a buddhist, or an athiest for that matter, why does it matter if one doesn't believe in your doctrines? Is it really all that bad? As long as they do not bother each other, let them be.

"As long as they do not bother each other, let them be."

Well... duh. But they do often bother each other...

Your acknowledgement of the fact that differing opinions and beliefs clash answers your own question.

If conflict stems from the diversity of our beliefs, then how can that conflict be resolved as long as all of these beliefs exist?

Anything that makes people feel better about their lives and their deaths is a good thing. Of course, if this also involves making lot's of other people feel very bad about their lives and their deaths it's a bad thing.

It's a tight rope walk we're all doing here.

Cheers,

Lost

As long as they're not trying to convert me or prosicute me for being a non beliver, I'll live with anyone of any religion.

As long as they dont bother me, let them be.
