I'm gonna be talking about Christians here, because they are who i have experiences with.

By fanatics, I mean people who seem to overdo it with religion. A few examples that made me wonder about this:

my friends mom got sick, and she told her sister that the reason she got sick is because a demon jumped out of her husband and into her.

same person as above: said she saw her (then)unborn granddaughter's face in floor tiles whilst taking a shit. (yea funny)

also same person: works at a small town movie shop and said that God shows her the movie she is looking for. (there is a wall of movies and its sometimes hard to find the one you want)

different person: made my friend throw away all of her red clothes/bedsheets/etc. when she moved in because red is the color of Satan.

^making her daughter, 13, watch only rated G movies because others are too violent/evil.

not such a big deal because a lot of people do it: anti-Harry Potter because it is witchcraft.

What do you think of these people I listed, and do you know any people like that, if so what do they do that is strange? Are you like this? Are they just crazy people?

People who spend their lives trying to fix others ignore their own problems...and one of my few liked Bible verses.

It's a sort of coping method...your life is shit, so you distract yourself from it by trying to invade in others and control them 'for their own good'.

It can also be seen in government...gun control lobbyists, MADD, Greenpeace...political ideals and such that are the exact opposite of altruism.

I consider myself a normal tolerant person, i don't have a problem with any relegions (exchept pahaps jehovas whitness, they always stop me when im late for the train) but fanatics is a other matter, i hate them because they stubbornly deny all common sense if it dosen't fit in their religion. they simply deny everyting so they can live in their small world with all the answers.

while others spend whole lives on finding the right answer.

ya, seriously, they sound alittle overboard. Try having fun with it, tell them you had a dream or something, and the lord told you to tell them they have to flush the toilet 3 times everynight at 1am to flush out the bad spirits/satan out of the house. Use your imagination, have fun!!
