This makes perfect sense in this forum.

such a theory is null; ie cannot be tested or proven. its as if i were to come up with a theory stating that theres a sony PSII orbiting neptune, you wouldn't be able to prove me wrong either--but the fact is, both are unlikely http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)

However people feel that they have a better chance proving god exists/doesn't exist?
I for one believe God exists, only because i have faith can i believe ergo it is pointless to attempt using logic to convert someones beliefs.

I think that theory is a load of crap, but I have a theory of my own which is as follows.
It is impossible for anything to ever completely understand itself. Or actually to be more exact on this case, it would take every particle in the universe working at 100% efficiency for the universe to be able to completely understand the universe. So I guess it is possible, just at the point of it's never going to happen. The same goes for anything else, if everything in it is working at 100% efficiency it can completely understand everything about itself.
i dont quite see where efficency comes into this...

It isn't a theory it is a Douglas Adams joke.
