Allright, im an Athiest and I have some questions. Well, one question really. How can religious folk submit their entire life to an object that was created by men? The Bible is just a creation of humans. If I wrote a couple things down in a notebook and said "THIS IS GOD'S WORD!" would you believe me? I dont see any backup to anything the Bible says. When I ask a Christian a question about thier religion they just will answer, "Well, your wrong because it says in Asshat 7:15 that blah blah blah..." Where as with science there are is at least SOME absolute proof behind most theorys. Oh yeah, I hate these buffoons that are like "Ohh man, you changed what you said after you used the scientific theory, your a flip flopper, EVOLUTION DOSN'T EXIST, HAHA!" Well, that was sort of random, but I want your thoughts on it. Well yeah... im pretty fed up with religion and what not... so... take this post with a grain of salt.



THOSE PEOPLE DOWN THERE AT GRACE BIBLE CHURCH STOLE MY BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUE STORY! THEY FRIGGIN' KIDNAPPED HIM! NOW EVERY SUNDAY FROM LIKE 8AM-6PM HE'S OUT CHURCHING IT UP! AND EVERY DAY AT DINNER HE MUTTERS SOMETHING TO THE BIG MAN IN THEY SKY! WTF!!!

well, the Lord told them, to do it, and what to write, and they wern't just anyone, it was apostles, saints, that wrote them

While I (try) to follow the teachings of Jesus, I accept the fact that the Bible has been edited and tampered with by men: pieces cut out or added to it; and I certainly don't think the Bible is the innerant Word of God. It was still written by men, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit or not. You must decide what to pick up and what to follow.

Things that make people feel good about their lives and their deaths are a good thing. Things that make people feel bad about their lives and their deaths are a bad thing.

If going to church and praying makes him feel good about his life and his death, let him go for it. It doesn't mean you have to agree with him.

Exactly. "Truth" is not really that important in the grand scheme of things; if Buddhism makes me feel good about my life and my death, does it even matter if it is the "Supreme Truth"? In my opinion, no.
