I hope that this is the right category to post this-

Yesterday I was at the Bus stop, and this older man, (maybe 50) sat down next to me and starts talking about the youth of today, his time in the military, etc. I just kind of smile and nod my head until he tells me the he is convinced that he is the reincarnation of Jesus.

What???

any comments?

quote:As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

- Matthew 24 3-5

Believing yourself to be a messianic figure can be a symptom of schizophrenia.

Jesus answered: "One day I'm going to sit by some kid at the bus stop." And yea, everyone went home kind of dissapointed.

You should have asked him to prove it by doing a miricle. Then you would know if he was crazy or if the apocolyspe is comming.

Jesus needs to use the bus? Wow.

I guess preperation for the apocalypse must have really cut into the budget.

Unless he told you something incredibly wise, other than that he's Jesus, I wouldn't even think twice about it.

Then again I live in a city over run by the homeless and I'm used to such behavior.

Cheers,

Lost

I'm pretty sure it was just a random, creepy guy. He kept figeting his hands and slapping himself, it was really weird.

Jesus was a schizophrenic who thought he was the son of god. End of story. Now stop worshipping some man with sandals and man up. Find strength within YOURSELVES for fuck's sake. Christianity has made a point of itself to kill strength within the individual and teach them to find strength in blind obedience and the worship of pity and mediocrity in individuals. Good luck with that.
