Self-explanatory. The fact that any sort of logic is being used to explain/prove God is completely dubious.

I agree, but neither can it disprove such an existance.

Well, no joke. You can't prove anything but your own existence can you? That meann's since I can't proove you really exist I could kill you with no real consequences. Right. Just because you can't proove something doesn't mean it's not true. All you can do is find really really likely situations.

I definately agree. Science and religion are two things I try my best to stay out of (in terms of practicing) because, well frankly...both explain the universe at a very basic level and are plagued by weird paradoxes and contradicting points. However I'm not sure either is more 'correct' than the other as a result of logic. Science exists because logic exists and religion exists because faith exists.

I suggest everyone check out the last couple pages of the "Atheists are wrong" thread. It's basically any arguments that could be put in here.

Hindus and Buddhists might argue that you don't really exist. Try wrapping your mind around that. Like I said, you can't mix logic and faith...one can't be used to disprove the other's respective establishment (logic vs. religion, faith vs. science, etc.).

The pope feels he can mix religion and science. So do I. If science isn't in agreement with religion, than either science is wrong, not too unlikely, or religion is wrong, just as likely.

Okay, I'll admit the name I put out on my topic was a little bold, but that is not the point. My topic did not intend to convince you there is a god. It was intended to show an alternate definition of god, different from any religions views of today. I recommend reading page 2 from my topic because that's when we were actually on topic. Many people assumed that it was trying to prove Christianity but it was the farthest thing from it. Aside from Sarith though nobody has really caught on to what I was initially trying to say.

There's nothing wrong with starting a new topic by the way, because by the time most topics get to 5-6 pages it's become a two or three person conversation.

I understood, and I believe JewDude did also, just we both seem to agree on it, and things got funnier as the responses devolved into amorphous bashing.

And I'll blame my murder on my psychological state- a state of solipsistic social catatonia brought on by my nihilistic view of society instilled in me my MTV and the public news media. Therefor, it's society's fault for inculcating such a shitty concept into my feeble mind.

Does anyone actually believe that M. Twain quote "because I think, I am"? I never thought that made too much sense logically.

*pssst* It isn't a unique view, look at his topic, there are several other pre existing faiths that share that view.

Coco is the opium of the people while we're discussing him.
