FRANKLIN, Tenn., May 30, 2005 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Scantily clad porn stars, a director filming scenes so graphic even he's disgusted -- you can see all that and more Sunday at a Tennessee Baptist church.
It's part of a movie called "Missionary Positions," to be shown at The People's Church in Franklin, Tenn., by Senior Pastor Rick White. He's declared June 5 "Porn Sunday" at his church, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
The movie depicts the struggle of two youth pastors, Craig Gross and Mike Foster, against pornography. They filmed their travels to Amsterdam, Las Vegas and other cities as they visited porn shows and movie sets.
They drive a "Porn Mobile," emblazoned with slogans that advertise their Web site: "www.xxxchurch.com, the No. 1 Christian Porn Site."
Gross and Foster's presentation is startling, but White told the Tennessean he believes their audacious approach can work to bring attention to what he believes is too often a hidden problem.
The youth pastors' Web site offers, among other things, free "X3 Accountability Software." When installed on a computer, it will send e-mail messages to people chosen by the user whenever the user looks at a porn site.
