I think it's just a point of view..

Example:

We might think of Al Quade (spelling?) as evil.. but to them, what they did was the most heroic thing since Saladin

Evil is a definition based on opinion or perception.

Nothing is "Evil" in and of itself.

It is your personal perception that makes something Evil or Good.

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so."

Shakespeare

Morality is relative. Evil is subjective. Duh.

There is no evil... Something that one person thinks is "evil" is just fine for someone else... Through deduction, there is nothing left to be "evil"

There is no evil. I told the people who were debating the root of all evil this.

[QUOTE]

The dark side is evil

wrong, sith being evil was said by the jedi who dont agree with the sith using all powers of the force for all reasons, this also applies to the "dark" side of the force.

Besides sith are cooler and more powerful, if I was a jedi i would so be sith by now

Well how about this;

Let's say that evil is the direct intention of doing great harm, with only the harmful aspects in mind.

For example, let's say there was a certain person in the world that I hardly knew. There's a lot of them, so bear with me. Okay, let's say this person walks in front of me. It would not really give me any personal satisfaction, or any perticular remorse, for that matter, to...I don't know, reach over and shoot them in the head. (This is assuming people don't have problems walking in front of people who have guns in their hands.) But, if I did, and didn't care at all, the act of killing this person for no reason, I think, would be evil.

So, to me, and I think others can agree, evil is the act of causing great harm, with only the thought of how much harm one can cause on a meaningless target. The fact also remains that the person doing this act of cruelty,(is that different then evil?) is not doing so out of an act of hatred, or any particular bias towards said meaningless target. And an evil person, is one who repeatedly does things like this, with no intention to stop. Maybe they actually enjoy it, or try to advocate this evil onto others.

Oh, and by the way, the devil is not evil.

It's relative. To their side ( Al-Queda ) everything they did was justified, but to us it was evil. No one ever commits a crime thinking they're wrong. They'll justify it one way or another.

sith arwe the "shiz-nag".....because evil is a point of view, like the other guy said. see the sith aren't bad, just most of them are because they use the force along with passion and agression whereas jedi use it with a calm state of mind
