Don't tell me that it's all for the glory of god, or that it is meant to test you. I understand that G-d (that's for your sake JewDude) can't quite be blamed for man's stupidity, as in Hitler, etc. But natural disasters? Not always man's fault. Tsunami, for instance, why the fuck wld god kill off so many people? I need some really good answers from different perspectives for a paper I'm writing.

It would only make sense if the goal of creation is not the protection of the creation but the enjoyment of it from every aspect. I do not think a loving god or a cruel god make any sense. Indifferent seems like it would be the only sane choice if there were a god, and I ahve no problem with that.

Who are you to blame the tsunami on God? Chaos theory says its all our fault, if not our actions, its the world governments and weather control.
And your answers that you dont want to hear are the two main answers.

Why do parents beat their children? May be god isn't perfect. May be he's only perfect because he created us therefore he's our ideal. That could be he lets bad things happen to us.
That and may be he doesn't control everything. May be he can control everything, but he doesn't because he wants us to excercise our freewill.
Cheers,
