View Full Version : One over the Others
To religous people of all denominations,
What made you worship your God (s), and why did you choose it/them over other Gods?
Simply put, why did you choose one religion over the others?
How do you justify your decision...and, more importantly, why is it even a decision at all?

For most people i'm going to have to say it's upbringing. Sure they'll argue 'til they're blue in the face that they chose it, but we all know the truth.
I'll just wait. http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/smile.gif)

Yeah, its mostly a combination between upbringing/laziness/and submission. Practically all children are raised in the religion their parents believe in. From there they might not care enough about their own relgion to swap or they just don't want to piss of their parents. A lot of the time the upbringing/brainwashing method is efficient enough for the child to be loyal enough to refuse to convert.

Your obviously not as old as you pretend to be when you post, and considering they are filled with bs i suggest you stop.
Any actual religious people want to answer the question?

In my experience there is only one god, so it does not matter what you worship. I am a practictioner of Gnosticism as explained by Samael Aun Weor. My justification comes from meditation and dream travel. I am still working on both though. But from my experience with it so far, it has provided much information.
No one can tell you why one god is better than another and actually know that they are right unless they are just plain ignorant. You must find for yourself and not worry about justification to other people. Anyone can show the path, but we all most walk it alone.
