I'm sick of people saying that although they haven't read the Koran they assume it doesn't say anything they might find morally offensive.

Please dont comment on the Koran unless you have read it as I have. e.g

Jihad has not been misinterpreted at all but does call for armed struggle again the "House of War" as muslims call non-muslim countries.

You can only really comment on something if you've read it all, which I doubt you have. It's like people who search for a few passages from Leviticus, come to their own interpretations and say the Bible is anti-homosexual.

It's been interpreted to mean "kill whitey" by many Islamic terrorists, true, but it's been interpreted to mean the opposite by many more people. Don't trust those interpretations, how can you fail to see that they're gonna be biased? Read the passages unadorned by interpretations and see what you make of them yourself.

The Qur'an has lots of passages that could be construed as promoting violence, there's no denying it. But they could be interpreted as advocating defence of a religion, without going overboard; I'm sure that if he exists, Allah is royally pissed off at suicide bombers or plane-hijackers.

But I never said the Kuran never preaches violence, I said the Kuran never preaches senseless violence, which it doesn't. Of course their own holy book says to defend their own religion, every holy book of any religion says so. My point was only to point out that most people nowadays misinterpret the Kuran, and too many muslims go around and proclaim a Jihad whenever they have the chance.

Trust me, bombing civilians ( because that's what they do ) is not a Holy War. It's simply murder.

Do you mean doctrines as in all religions, or the religious doctrines of Islam ?

Besides people, ( not directed at Lost Cause ) read the Old Testament. The muslims can say as much of us and the jews as we can say of them. When it comes to killing over religious aspects, us christians are not exactly sinless.

That's because unfailing devotion to the holiness of a book is a trait that only the insane possess...that's why holy books are misconstrued constantly, the crazy fucks reading them are blinded by devotion to the infallability of the texts, not realizing that they as a human INTERPRET the texts no more correctly or incorrectly than any other.
