View Full Version : Coincedence or divine intervention ?

Well the other day I stayed up the whole night. And at 5 am, it was light and pretty warm already, I decided I felt like going for a walk.

And I was just pondering about filosophical questions, more specific about morals. And that moment ( I was walking in front of the church at that time ), I saw a moth being chased by a bird. The bird hit the moth, forcing it to fall on the ground, but my presence then scared away the bird.

I wondered, what shall I do with this moth, do I leave him, injured ( he didn't look like he could fly ), and let him be eaten by this bird? Or maybe the moth is in better condition then I think, and I should chase the bird away, thus saving the moth, but condemning another animal to be eaten by the hungry bird ? Now the fact that it was so early, no one was around in the town, and the fact that it happened RIGHT in front of the churc gave the whole thing a mysterious aura...

What do you guys think about it ? I was very confused about what I should do, and just because it was an insect doesn't give it less right to live then yourself, quite frankly... What do you think this was?

Coincedence... or more ?

Obviously it was divine intervention! What else could it be? You were supposed to nurture that moth to full health and the release it to the wild. This is, undoubtedly, to participate in an action analogous to that of god nurturing humanity along its existence.

There is absolutely no other explanation. None.

Rust, that is one of the most brilliant posts I've ever read.

It made my afternoon.

You must be retarded or something.

This boils down to killing an insect, or possibly letting a bird starve to death. Wow, that's a true dilemma. The fucking world is blazing flames, and there you are playing God over an insect and a bird. I bet God was having the same damn dilemma as you.

quote:Originally contemplated by God:

Should I let this fucktard live, or should I just pull the plug on all of humanity. Man, this sucks. Watching this fucking retard makes me lose faith in myself. There is no fucking God!

Why didn't you just do the human thing? Stomp the moth, whack the bird with a stone, then rip its wings off, and Molotov the church. Cause you're an piece of shit idiot pussy, that's why.

If there was a God, he'd be ashamed of his creation because of retards like you.
