jesus is said to have died for the sins of man-kind. so, wouldnt that mean hes in hell?

while we're at it lets clear up another thing ive been confused about. since jesus supposedly died for our sins, why can we still sin and go to hell?

His flesh is dead, not his spirit.

Everyone sins, everyday. It's what's in our hearts that matters.

What I have been told is Jesus died for our sins, but we need to accept that, before we are cleared from our sins. So, as long ass we haven't accepted Jesus in our hearts, we will go to hell. Even if we have been good and haven't sinned at all (haven't done anything bad), we will still go to hell. So, you see, being born is already a sin. If you don't want want to go to hell and don't want to go to church, then don't be born.

we have all sinned.. from birth

God was going to send us all to hell, but Jesus die for us..

he's in heaven.. he believes in God.. he is God

people go to hell because they dont accept/believe/take Jesus as their saviour

Kindbud, could i suggest you sit down and study the bible and other sources before making such asinine threads? it would save you from looking like a retard and spare us reading such tosh.

yes, jesus is in hell.. your a dipshit, go research who wrote the bible, and ask someone other than your preacher

if you recall, the roman catholics were the first with the holy bible, which is merely a mish-mash of judiasm, hinduism, toaism and about every other world religion put together by the roman politicians and theologins to better control the people, its pointless to argue about fictional characters, or characters who were not in fact the divine one, although they may have been enlightened

From what I've heard and understand this is what "happened"(correct me if I'm wrong):

Jesus died for the sins of mankind, so that we wouldn't have to offer up sacrifices to God for the sins we made. Back before Jesus was born, people had to kill a lamb, calf, or some sort of an animal to get forgiven for their sins but since jesus died, we just have to ask god, through prayer to forgive us. When he died on the cross, he went to hell but only for three days. After the three days, he was risen to life, and his soul, and body was back on earth. After about a month after he got reserected, he took himself, and his 12 desciples to a hill, and he told them what to do when he was gone...preach to people the good news of the kingdom and stuff. Then he litterally got beamed up into the sky...well he didn't actually get beamed up to the sky, he then sit on some clouds with god...Then I believe that God took Jesus's body, soul and life from earth and just kept his soul in heaven.

He went "into the heart of the earth" for three days when he was dead.

As for his sacrifice, its all a matter of if you accept it as payement for your sins.

So what if we dont accept it as payment for our sins then we have to keep killing lambs or bulls or something.

According to Christianity (and Judaeism to an extent), the sacrifice of the Old Testament is simply a symbol of Christs sacrifice. In Christianity, the old system is done away with as unnecessary. Besides, sacrifices never got anyone to heaven. The good people went to a place called Abraham's bosom.

Christ, while dead, preached there to save the people that were there. Those that didnt believe...well.... it sorta goes with the verse "hell has enlarged itself". http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)
