Most say it's wrong but there are some churches that accept it. It's very hard to get an "official christian stance" on anything, there are so many different factions that believe so many different things.

Christians SHOULD see sin equally, since the Bible does not designate one sin as having greater importance over another, except for unbelief in God.

Since this is what the Bible teaches us, homosexuality shouldn't be any more persecuted than other sins.

I think people in general tend to attack those that they don't understand, and homosexuality is certainly too foreign for most Christians to grasp, fundamentally.

There are Christian support groups for those that want to get out of the homosexual lifestyle, and this proves that when educated, Christians aren't afraid.

Homosexuality is a sin, because it is a form of sexual immorality. So, it holds about as much weight as infidelity, pre-marital sex, and pedophilia. We shouldn't be singling homosexuals out, because all of us sin.

That verse is talking about EVERYONE that is unrighteous, and everyone that doesn't have Jesus in their heart IS. You can be a Christian, be homosexual, and still be saved. You should not DESIRE to continue in your sin, but for homosexuals, their sin is a part of who they are. So much so that it would be ridiculous to ask them to just stop cold turkey. I have read the bible, and I don't recall anything about affection being a sin.
