Ironically, Iraq is the location of the area known in Biblical times as Babylon. How that name got attached to the Rastafarian concept, I do not know. It's probably quite complicated.

Also, as I recall, Haile Selassie himself, the Lion Of Judah ( he had some wicked good names ) rejected his deification and pointed those who did to the teachings of the bible itself. Might be wrong about that.

It is indeed true that Rastas generally associate the white man with Satan, however the religion officially bars nobody. Also, this is usually just the result of the white man enslaving the black man. As long as you arn't a rasta that hates black people, they shouldn't have much of a problem with it. They are bound to accept you as a rasta, especially if you do your homework and don't just use it an excuse to smoke pot.
