...go to hell for someone else?

Like, what if you really loved someone to death in this world, but that person was somewhat of a sinner. You know they're a good person, even in their "wicked" ways, and you love them more than anything. How would you feel if you had to go to heaven and that person went to hell? Wouldn't an eternity in heaven be a torment, because the person you love the most is in hell? Or would you go to hell too for loving someone who's "wicked"?

If I went to heaven and the person I love went to hell, I'd walk up to God and headbutt him until his stupid face turns inside out. Then I'd headbutt him for an eternity or 7 more. What a scumbag.

No, I wouldn't. A description for the bible (if it is real) it too horriffic for me to o to hell for someone else's sins.

Sure I would. But I'd make sure I gave the person I love a good headbutt. I mean, it's only fair, right? I'm going to hell for them, the least they can do is take a headbutt.

I don't think I'd go to hell for them, but I'd let them headbutt me for not taking their place in hell. I suppose it's fair, if I love them and whatnot.

I'd headbutt God's pet Dog too. Do I have to capitalize Dog by the way? It is His dog after all. And when I go to heaven, will Snoodles be there? Cause if not, I'm not setting one foot in that shithole. There may be 72 virgins in heaven, but there's like, 72.000 of them right here on earth, just for me. I don't like virgins anyway.

If you (whoever you are) are pure in intentions, a good (whatever religion this question is based on, Catholic?) and have done enough right that you are going to Heaven, then I believe the person you loved (spouse, im assuming) cannot be so bad that he/she would go to hell WHILE you still go to Heaven.

First off, keeping in mind the (now factual) statement that there IS a heaven and hell, God and Satan, etc etc, that leads us to the basic lines of religion.

God is Perfect. God knows all. He knows who everyone ends up with and how everything ends up forever on out. Because of the promises God made in the Bible stating how all those who believed would go to Heaven, He could not have you (A good person on Earth) fall in love with someone who is so bad they would be going to Hell. Here's Why:

God gave us free will. We can make our own decisions. With free will, no one can really make us do anything (no technical arguments, like paying taxes and breathing, etc..). For the most part, we control ourselves.

When you both pass from Earth (die) and go to pergatory, you (would be) going to Heaven, and your love, to Hell. Because God is Perfect and is never wrong, He cannot allow anything to happen to you to allow you the choice or opprotunity to choose your enternal fate to Hell over your loves. You still have free will and can make your own choices, but God still has the promise made that if you are a believer on Earth, you have your eternity in Heaven, which cannot be broken.

Paraphrasing...

If there is a heaven and hell,

there is a God.

If there is a God,

he is perfect.

Also is there is a God and there is a Heaven,

he made the promise that those who were good go to Heaven.

People have free will.

If you fall in love with someone who is bad enough to go to hell, but not bad enough to corrupt you,

God cannot give you the choice or opprotunity to go to hell for "that someone"

because it is always your choice and you could disprove God of his perfection by disproving his promise of an eternal in Heaven BY choosing to go to hell for someone else.

In the conventional Heaven of Christian lore, we will not "be" who we are now. There will be a remnant of memories, but not the same consciousness.

We will not see each other as mother, daughter, wife, and brother...we will all be related, under God.

As Christians tell it, we are responsible for ourselves. If I am not saved, I am going to hell. I cannot go for anyone else.

But, just for the sake of the hypothetical, I will have to answer no. I would not go to Hell and be away from my maker for eternity, just for this flawed device we call human love.
