Is it important to have the correct Jesus (of the Bible) for faith to work?

I think it acknowledges the correct Jesus and that is whom I have placed my faith in.

I agree God is not A God of confusion and therefor because it does not say He is a hippo I do not believe it.

quote:by Homerjay 603

faith is only as good as the object in which it is placed."

So you believe that everyone who has faith in God must have the right concept of God, or God's gonna tell them "whoops, I was a hippopotomous, not a spiritual being, sorry you read the bible wrong, time to go to hell."

That is a very perverted way of looking at God. God is love, not technicalities. I sincerely hope that you realize that one day.

Homer I am using you to show the argument not as an attack.

Vice, you're gonna have to either a) be a little clearer, or b) post more of the argument for anyone to understand your question.

I believe that faith in one jesus is as good as faith in another. As long as your "jesus" doesn't tell you to do evil things like bomb abortion clinics or start the inquisition, you should be fine.

Jesus was about love and kindness, not technicalities.

• The real Jesus of the Bible is prayed to (Acts 7:55-60; Psalm 116:4 and Zech. 13:9 with 1 Cor. 1:1-2).

• The Jesus of the Bible is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9; John 9:35-38; Heb. 1:6)

• The Jesus of the Bible called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8).

If you do not have the Jesus of the Bible then do you not have the correct JC?

If you don’t have Jesus then you are in trouble, most people have heard that.

Is the greatest faith in someone false the same as no faith at all?

"By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world." 1 John 4:2-4, You can see that denying that Jesus has come in the flesh, is the spirit of antichrist.

A false Jesus cannot save and only the true Jesus reveals the true God (“…no man cometh unto the father, but by me” John 14:6; Luke 10:22; John 17:3).

Ps. 9: 17

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God"
