I've away for a while, on camp and stuff etc. Anyway, i come back to Totse and have read quite alot of the posts. Most of them completely stupid. So i thought i'll make my stupid post.

If we look back to the dawn of intelligent man. We have always named things. Why? To catgoerise them? No, to control them, to put them in their place and tell them what to do.

Thousands of examples - "You! Peasant! Clean my shoes!"

- " Hey you Nigger, get back in line!"

- " Oi Jew! Put down that bread!"

Also the more informal Specific naming like "Frank" and "Joe" etc etc.

We see God, God isn't it's name *i use it because i dont believe it is either male nor female* it doesnt have a name, God is just a word to describe immense power.

That is how it controls us, us not knowning its name, to take back our lives, to be free, we must learn its name.

Expand or shout at my theory, i am an Dyslexic Atheist and dont believe in any shit im writing.

yes, we named things to categorize things. Not on purpose, but thats what happened. No one named stuff to control it, and we're not controlled by God just because He doesn't have a name.

Linguistically, naming things has many possible origins as to why it happened, however, naming something doesn't actually give you power over it, but rather a sense of power over it. By explaining things away (myth) people can feel more secure about their surroundings. Not knowing what to call something doesn't bring about fear, nor does it feel like a lack of control, but without names it makes mass-usage of things more difficult, and without a name then the transfer of knowledge is impossible.

God is called God and it doesn't matter if that's it's real name or not, whether it's a person or not, or whether it exists or not. People call it that, and that's all that matters. The idea lives on through the word.

There's a linguistic device called a "god-term" where the word conjures up powerful ideas and emotions simply through the word. In essence the word is "living" because of the strength and abstract nature of its meaning. "Love" is a prime example. These have more power over people than the word "God" because they're far more close to our nature. If anything words like "love" and their counterpart "devil-terms" control people.

So, you're wrong.
