See, I honestly don't understand the regular christian folk and their emphasis on the crucifixion either. The way he died isn't as important on what he achieved with his death and how he was resurrected. Us mormon folk don't use the cross as a symbol and do not spend all our time talking about the torture of Jesus. That's just not cool.

We don't deserve what He did for us. It's amazing. Jesus died on the cross, that's why we emphasize it.

I dont know how retarted is it to worship a man with the knowledge of the gods, maybe most worship his ways of using the universe around them to benifit in life, instead of being an ignorant drunkard, Jesus learned how to use the elements around him to teach himself self realization, the most important and powerful concept known to man, learning how to use the human mind, The brain is one thing we aquire in life with no instructions on how to use it, we have to figure out how. Jesus was murderd because of what he aquired, he knew the army was coming to hang him, he let them kill him to teach history how stupid humans really are, He could have murderd every last one of them, but he wanted to teach that war is not the answer, and he wanted everybody to be humble. Besides Christs accomplishments for his day and our present day, blows you out of the water and everybody else that I can think of in the present, maybe thats why when other deaths happen today even if they are harsher, they will never go down in history like Jesus Christ's.

Jesus was a pure soul, he never sinned once in his entire life that's why he died so horribly and took all the sins of mankind into his soul. Jesus is my savior and yours, I just recognize and appreciate it.
