View Full Version : The book of timothy, and the Revolution
That is why I dont like reliogn. because that book says it all. as a whole the book says "The Kingdom of heaven is inside you". That just means that you have to find yourself. The answer is you. Thats why I say "Are you ready for the Revolution?"

Are you sure you're not refering to the gospel of Thomas?

well yopu're both right and wrong . yes the Gospel Of Thomas does indeed say that and no, it doesn't mean you just have to 'find yourself'.
The Kingdom Of Heaven has a very definite meaning in both the cannonical and apocryphal books.

Can you write a few things about this? I'm interested.

basically the Kingdom Of Heaven refers to the nation of Israel as a theocarcy.
it was part of the messianic beliefs that the Son of David would come, kick out the Kittim (romans) and found a nation ruled by God.

That can't be what Jesus was talking about though.

why not ,pray tell?
sorry, its the gospel of thomas. I was thinking of something else.
Because, that would make jesus a prophet, and Obviously he was the son of god. He didnt prophocise.

Because, according to the bible's gospels at least, Jesus never cared for "kicking out" the romans and earthly kingdoms. And it does seem a pretty mundane explanation for such an important concept from a very spiritual man.

the amount of 'revoultionary' teachings in jesus' words is a matter of some debate. certainly there is enough evidence in the gospels to support the view that he envisioned an earthly as well as a heavenly kingdom.
lets not forget this is the guy who commanded his followers to wear swords...even if they had to go hungry to do it.
jesus' message was accept people for who they are and they will acept you. As long as you dont hurt other people, or anamals and plants.
Also to ive to your full potential. god isnt a person place or thing. Hes more of a force or entity in all of us.

He sure did. Not only that, but the Jews recognized that He did. Why do you think it bothered them so much?

WHERE?
Let's start out with Matthew 26:63-66. Just in case you think that the Son of man means 'just another human, then why did the Jews call this blasphemy and say that He is guilty of death?
If this example isnt enough, let me know, i'll look for more.
