Many atheists point out that with the size of the universe, out of the trillions of galaxies, the possiblity of carbon and oxygen and all the elements coming together and randomly forming at least one life-bearing planet like Earth is pretty much 100%.

Now, let's turn this around and say what are the chances that their are many supernatural and metaphysical things in the universe that we can't explain? Isn't the existence of a uniting life force that we call "God", and possibly an heaven and hell, just as probable in this vast universe as the existence of life here on Earth?

But we have evidence for the existence of carbon and oxygen? We don't even know what a god is let alone try and find one.

Hmmm no?

Chance doesn't work that way. We could theoretically arrive at a possibility of the life on Earth existing from a big bang, because it rests on something that is possible scientifically, and that can be expressed mathematically.

You can't do that with a god. How in the world do you arrive at the possibility of a god existing versus it not existing? You can't, save for arbitrarily deciding on a percentage; which would amount to nothing.

That's why they call it believing and not knowing.

Yea, I just can't grasp the concept of putting so much into something that you don't know.

Faith is bunk.

Giving a "god" credit for all of it only perverts our understanding of the universe.

Carbon and oxygen are not needed fior life! I hate it when people make this asumtion. That is why can can, will and does exist.
