Every time someone brings up evolution the right says that it is impossible because God makes things in fixed form. To suggest otherwise would contend that he had made a mistake. Those same group of people also believe that the bible is an infallible piece of work created by God. If this is true, and God truly doesn't make mistakes, why is there proof that the Torah has been modified and edited throughout the centuries. Doesn't this prove that there is a gap between the true word of god and the bible because of the revisions that have gone into it?

Quite possibly because Christians use the Bible and Jews the Torah. Then again every version except the KJV has been modified in some fashion.

God only said he would preserve His Word in the New Testament, not in the Torah or Pentateuch, so there.

Oh so that was the last time God endorsed a piece of literature...

the KJV is a corruption. hell, it was formed 1600 or so years after the death of christ.

the catholics created the bible by piecing it together to what fit there needs, as well as stright making shit up.

as for the jews, i dont know.

Don't kid yourself AP2000. Every version of the bible has been altered in someway or another down through history.

I cant decide if you are screwing around here, or not.

The 'Red' sea vs. the 'Reed' sea, has nothing to do with an extra "e".

It is a possible translation error, not in English, but in Hebrew. And it is conjecture, based on a shallower, smaller area of water to cross.

It is a myth that is claiming the actual account to being a myth.

If the Almighty God decided that His people were to cross the Atlantic Ocean, He has the power to split that body of water.

I don't believe the Bible to automatically be a tool meant for mind control. I believe that when it was originally written, the authors had a good intent...they were writing what they believed to be true and good. Revisions made by certain groups (Most notable the RCC) have had the ends of controlling the populace, but the original manuscripts of the NT and the original manuscripts of the Tanahk fail to show signs of being brainwashing literature. They may not necessarily be true, or even remotely accurate as to the descriptions of spirituality and such, but it is not that way with a malicious intent, but is that way due to the flaws of man.
