Depends on which religion, despite popular belief there's actually thousands of gods. Not just the Judeo-Christian version.

Assuming you're talking about christianity, you wouldn't just confess and be sorry. Saying; "I repent" is not good enough for your sins to be forgiven, you would have to be genuinely sincere, which I doubt you would be.

I guess I didn't make that clear enough, my fault. I meant that he never specified which religion he was talking about.

If you want to go through it all there's been thousands of gods for thousands of religions.
