I'm 18 years old and was raised a catholic, however the past couple years i have questioned many christian beliefs and after studying certain religons, I feel that my beliefs relate most cloesly to agosticism.
I always pictured the " rulers of earth " as a group of great men who posess many human qualties. So when i listened to the Coast to Coast am radio show when the guest was talking about the Matrieya...i became very interested...He talked of a groupe of " masters " who were all the great men of our world ( buddha jesus gandi n so on )...I'm jus curious on everyone elses beliefs and if they would any crediblity into this...

My beliefs? To get technical I'm a weak atheist, naturalist and an evolutionist.

Does your relgion affect your morals? Meaning since you do not believe in God, are you a worse person for it?

No, I profess no reverence in any supreme beings. To some people that makes me a bad person, but their reasoning is unfounded in logic.

I agree. I pose this question to many people...who is the better person...a christian who went to church every sunday but lived in sin or a non believer who lived a good life regardless of his lack of beliefs

I myself am aithiest but my fiance is from A very strong christian upbringing. Suprisingly though her family loves me more than they love her sisters christian boyfriend.

I think you might be of the lucky few because I know many girl's parents will not let them date a so called non believer.
A person's religon should never be a stepping stool on which to judge them.

A cousin of mine was dating this guy for three years. Great guy. Last I heard from him (last year) he was going to graduate from a fairly good liberal arts college (Carleton) with a degree in poly sci and get a job doing some kind of intel work for the CIA. At this point the issue of marriage came up.
At this point in time I should mention that my uncle used to be a Baptist preacher. In short, he basically said that if my cousin married this guy he would basically disown her. Why? The guy didn't believe in an invisible man in the sky.
Regretfully, my cousin dumped the guy. I lost a lot of respect for her after that.

That is just further proof that religon in many forms is just plain stupid. However, I believe that religon in its purest form a great thing but with that comes a lot of bullshit.

It's like a drug. It can save your life or ruin it.

That was probably one of the smartest things I ever heard said about religon
