Why do people argue about "my religion is the right one" and "s/he's going to hell"? No one knows untill they die, and they can't tell anyonewhen the do. So how about people just shutin' the hell up and let people believe what they want? Its not like they can really give solid, physical proof that their religion exists. Actually, I think there's no proof that we exist, but that's going off topic.

Oh no I can give you absolute proof that religion exists, now whether those religions are correct is a whole 'nother matter.

People argue over religion because they are mutually antagonistic. You can't have separate groups claiming they're both correct.

Well people argue about which religion is the right one because of many reason's. And some people don’t, it's all a matter of perspective I guess. Christians think there’s only one god- Their god. And to tell them that they're wrong otherwise is basically like saying "Hey fuck you asshole your religion is wrong." That’s why people like to argue about their religion because they feel like their faith is being insulted, perhaps even threatened by a ignorant non-believer whenever their religion comes into question.

And like I said, not all people think that their religion is the only true religion. Small tribes in South America have their own gods and don’t even bother thinking about other people's god. They just say "yeah, that’s nice" and move on with their lives.

And the thing is that alot of religious people think that they do know the truth because their god told them the truth. And to tell them otherwise is basically like say "Hey fuck you dude and fuck your lying piece of shit god as well".

See it's all a matter of faith. No "true" believer thinks that they lack proof that their god or gods exist because they have faith in their religion. See faith overrules logic and that’s why there are alot of seemingly stupid religious practices out there.

So fuck it, fuck it all. Chances are we'll all understand it all someday until then I'm just going to ramble on incoherently and wish things were different.

Well the way I see it…there can only be one right religion. Especially since most religions contradict eachother. You cant have 2 right answers that say the other one is wrong…that defies logic. I think its actually I scientific law or something…so if only one is right…then u better figure it out before its too late

Because the believers won't just shut the hell up, they feel that they have to voice their opinion if something is taking place that is against their religion.

maybe whatever god there is created all the different religions just to fuck with us, and watch us fight over all this shit, and so it could laugh at us cuz we're all wrong

on-topic: it's human nature to assume you're right and everybody else is wrong, and to be pissed if you're wrong, so people made things that can't be proved wrong, and yet assume that everybody else's unprovable religions are wrong

it's pretty hypocritical, but i think it's just human nature

Not all the atheists in this forum say you can't believe in the crazy shit. Talk about it all you like but if atheists don't post their opinion here where would you like us to? Atheists have just as much right to post how god doesn't exist as you have to post about how he/she/they do.

Yes, Athiests choose not to believe because there is not proof. Religious people choose to believe because there is no proof against it. Because of this you can't say either is right or wrong and you can't prove or disprove either.
