The Pope told the crowds there were dangers in people finding their own religious routes (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4170204.stm)

(Yeah, danger of not being able to pay thier court fines, what the fuck does an "All Powerful God" needmoney for anyways?!!!)

Then he has the balls to say:

"If it is pushed too far, religion becomes almost a consumer product," he said.

<(Like it's not now?!)

"People choose what they like, and some are even able to make a profit from it.

(Yeah Like the Vatican is just going broke, huh buddy!?)

"But religion constructed on a 'do-it-yourself' basis cannot ultimately help us," he said."

(I Believe the operative word there is: "us", just who is this "us" he is referring to? "The Church"?)

Said once before, and many times after; If those two twits (Adam and Eve) ate of the "Tree of Knowledge" and became as them (yes, THEM read it yerselves:

And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=1&chapter=3&version=31)

Then just what the heck is "Church" for?

Don't even give me this "Fellowship" thing or the "Support" crap, or, wait a minute, maybe I'm just to stupid to be able to read the damn thing myself and actually comprehend it , hell, most people would be baffled by the extreme dichotomies of that Written by Man book called the Bible.

Turn the other cheek/An eye for an eye

Man and Woman become as one/Just how many of the "Characters" in this book had only one wife again?!

Feel free to point out others.

Can't find "God" for yourself!??

Must be told where to find "Him" by the "Church"!

What a crock.

People are easily manipulated into believing anything you tell them, as long as it seems like you know what your talking about. I convinced my roomate that everytime he'd look at the clock, it would be 11 after the hour. It was all him though, he believed me and found proof that his own mind generated, because he believed me. I basically convinced his subconscience to put priority in his internal clock for 11 after the hour. At that time he subconsciencely looks over to check the time. This is called successful brainwashing.

Before this, my roomate kept telling me that when he'd look at the clock at 9:11 almost everyday, not purposely. I took an extra step, and told him that every hour would end in 11 for him, and that the 9 was a coincidence.

Religion=brainwashing. If you think that religion isn't brainswashing, you're probably brainwashed. People give into it because the speaker is charismatic, posititive, and he keeps telling people that they are more important because they understand and follow the rules of gods domain, which gives you a higher sense of self esteem, which increases your seratonin levels. Basically they're making you feel good so that your brain creates a link with your natural drugs in your body, with the religious experience. This is also why the church is against drugs, because they can create a new link of good feelings, and your faith falls apart if it's not connected.

People are this stupid, McDonalds engineers their food to release drugs in your body to get the same effect.

The only way brainwashing can work, is if you are either an impressionable child, or a willing adult. Makes sense why there is so much emphesis on children in religion and fast food. churches in my area host all kinds of programs to get children to feel good about the church. I think the main reason that people can be easily seduced by religion is do to the fact that most people need a vice to survive. I don't have a vice because I understand the chemistry at hand when it comes to drugs, natural or external, which is why physical addiction never happens. I've linked every drug to that drug, and gave it no emotion importance in my brain.

Religion can be helpful since it gives me an edge by using these easily manipulated people for my own agendas.

For some strange reason, I'd always look at the time and... 9:11 shows up. Without me trying. Nice coincidence.
