If you havn't noticed theists generally posit that god has always been. That nothing created it, which goes against their belief that something can't come from nothing.

Something can come from nothing, i.e. the fact of life itself and the Big Bang.

Where are they in the Bible?

What about the very first single celled organisms?

It didn't come from nothing, I think Hawking covered this (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Because before the singularity there wasn't anything!

Just because it's almost impossible for us to concieve of true nothingness it does not mean we should attribute the existence of the universe to God. You can't and should'nt base an argument for the existence of God on what we don't know but rather what we do know

If you and I are witnessing an explosion, we know that someone put something there to explode, or that the explosion was caused by a malfunctioning "something" - or something.

But SOMETHING was there before the explosion, in any event.
