The science-fiction writings of L. Ron Hubbard. And yes, it's bullshit.

Here, read this. (http://tinyurl.com/b66ot) It's so mind-fuckingly stupid that you wonder why Scientologists don't hang their heads in shame.

because they're busy with personality tests, of course.

Not to mention if you ever get involved with them, they don't forget it. Even if you convert, change your name, your address, phone number...They will find you.
They're still sending mail to my mother, and she did all of the above.
Don't touch scientology, it never comes off.

Many people devote their lives to it and millions and millions of dollars, why would some kid be able to debunk it in a few minutes? It's very deep if you believe in it it will probably destroy your life though, they are greedy money mongering whores.
because some people will believe anything.
perfect example:
"I have an invisible friend living in the clouds who's watching you right now. if you don't do what he likes, he's going to send you to a bad place after you die."

I don't believe anything said by a guy who wore an ascott. Therefore, Scientology is bullshit.
Scientology is like a big joke that some people dont get.
It was invented by a science fiction writer.
I think it's a cult like organization to make the higher ups within it even more wealthy, nearly just a business.

"he Church of Scientology claims that psychiatry was responsible for World War I [18], the rise of Hitler and Stalin [19], the decline in education standards in the United States [20], the wars in Bosnia and Kosovo [21], and even the September 11th attacks [22]"
Wow, sounds really "intellectual".

YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN'T OPERATE AT THE DEPTH REQUIRED FOR AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE CORE BELIEFS AND VALUES OF SCIENTOLOGY, PLEBIAN.

Its a crazy ass religion that exploits idiotic actors into dontating millions (Tom cruis admits to donating $58 million) and its scary, because alot of people look up to hollywood actors as role models, this means more people are more likely to start following this nutball/genius science fiction writer.
They get you to pay money to learn the secrets about their religion, the more you pay, the more crazy stuff you get to know.

They don't just recruit the rich and famous, they also prey on the weak and downtrodden (drug addicts and prisoners). Their vulnerability makes them easy targets for infection.
These are founded by Scientology and are based on LRH's philosophies:
http://www.narconon.org/ http://www.criminon.org/
Until recently some schools in california used Narconon literature in their drug education programs. Narconon is basic an extension of scientologies crazy, "it's all about vitamins" crap. Drugs reduce vitamins and that's why they are bad.

I find the whole story kinda funny, of course I haven't really read their bible (if one exists, most likely in paperback, with the optional clamshell that costs much more), but the whole thing is pretty funny.
One of the best science fiction stories ever.
L. Ron Hubbard is supposed to have said that he himself didn't make Scientology into a church, but the boards of directors of the organizations of the time (early fifties) did.
Read that somewhere a long time ago.
Not on that fza.org website. That one is all written by one Paul Misiunas or Misunas and he doesn't really provide any information. As I seem to recall, a year or two ago there was e other articles on that site, written by other persons.

There's a story that a group of science fiction writers (one of which was Robert Heinlein, guy that wrote Starship Troopers) who knew each other back in the late 40s were in San Francisco hanging out at a bar one evenening. Late in the night, empty bottles of whisky on the table and a bunch of very drunk writers around it, they decided jokingly to have a competition to see who could come up with an active religion the first.
L Ron Hubbard was the winner.
Prozak:
Now you can find their "bible" online, however in the past the church kept it away from everyone and you had to reach a certain "level" (read, pay so much) before you were allowed to read their bible. In the past they have tried to sue anyone who posted it online like on usenet.
Basically the church know how stupid it all sounds unless you are first indoctrinated into the belief.
Imperfect:
I'm not sure how true that is. Although a letter was found by the FBI showing Scientology was made for the money.
There are also letters to his wife where he says, "I'm drinking lots of rum and popping pinks and greys." (Pinks and greys are uppers and downers) during the time he was writing some of his scientology work.
Scientology's founder, AFAIK, himself didn't call Scientology a religion but a "religious philosophy" in his writings.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

There's a good chance that was done to allow them to still classify it legally as a business. That's how they prevent people from publishing inside information about the organisation, because (get this) all that stuff is protected by trade laws, so publishing some OC VII or whatever text can be considered just as much an infringement of their intellectual copywrite as if you published the formula Coca Cola uses to make soft drinks.

go to www.xenu.net (http://www.xenu.net) it explains all about scientology.
its a psycological trick, don't do their "personallity tests" they're designed to make you feel bad about yourself and create problems which they will then "solve" by you giving them all your money and your life.

I wonder if the Scientologists have bothered to read the rest of L Ron Hubbards works. Are they considered as religious doctrine?

You know, I though that south park episode was exaddurating things a bit, and made some stuff up. Then i do a bit of rescearch, and find out that it's all true. These people actually believe aliens flew to earth in DC-8s with rocket engines.
What the fuck is wrong with you people.
