Why is everything they do something that could possisbly be psychosomatic? God wants old ladies that have to use canes to be able to walk freely again, but little Johnny that lost his hand in the wood chipper shall remain handicapped? Or another one would be people that are paralyzed. I guess you could say something like "if God performed such obvious miracles, everyone would believe in him and the whole choice thing would be gone." But if they truely are performing miracles, then the people they heal of their cane needs will have any doubt as to the existence of God removed from their minds, thus having the option of choice of believing in him removed just the same.
Someone take the side of the faith healers.

You stupid asses, doubting Gods infinitessimal power.
Either God must be all powerful, or he must be a myth. There is no alternative.
Edit: Begone evil satan from my church.

Side of the faith healers,
•God works in mysterious ways.
•The person being healed just didn't have enough faith in God (I love that one, many healers put the blame on the injured person if they aren't healed)
•If God worked in such obvious ways and provided solid evidence of miracles there would be no more need for faith. Faith is important so God doesn't do that.
•God has fixed people's limbs if they are strong in faith. God has fixed little Timmy's missing hand. (too bad no one can ever find evidence of this little Timmy.)
•Don't question me, I am your God, er I mean I work for your God. Questions are the Devils bath. Begone evil satan from my church.

If you were someone with arthiritis being healed by a faith healer, and it worked, you no longer have a need for faith, right? As for people observing it..well, some would believe and others wouldn't, but you for sure would. Know what I'm saying?
Whocares: Let's call me person A, (for arthritis). Person A must have faith before God heals them. To someone with faith everything is evidence of God, including healing. Person A is special because they have faith. Now take Person B (for badman) who doesn't have faith. Providing person B with concrete evidence God exist would preclude their faith.
To simplify this, faith must come before evidence not evidence before faith. By providing the small healing God does it provides questions for the faithless to shake their faith in being faithless, but doesn't provide concrete evidence for God, thus keeping faith first.
