I have read the bible in the past, and one book, Leviticus, seems to stick out. It has all sorts of weird BS, often used by atheists to denounce the bible, and is the stupidest book in there. Why was it even included in the bible anyway? It seems more like a rabbinical text to me.

It's pretty much the book of laws for old-school jews. A rabbinical text is pretty much what it is.

Are you familiar with the Torah?
If you answer yes, then you should have answered your own question. If you answered no, then I seriously doubt you ever read the bible.
