We have been studying hinduism and buddhism, and it seems more and more as if someone just decided to make a new relgion, call it christianty, change the names of a couple of people, and drill it into a whole civilization and say that its true thing and if you dont believe in it you go to hell. Those of you that are familiar with what im talking about might agree with me. If your not, dont bother replying, because im not gonne bother with your shit.
A lot of Jesus's teachings differ quite a bit from Jewish tradition and match more closely with buddhist and eastern philosophy. It is speculated by some that the missing years of his life were spent traveling eastward and was inspired by the religions he found on the way.

But the chirstian god seems to be alot like the god of vedas. there was another person that played the role of spreadind the word of vedas (i forgot the name) which is what jesus does in christianty. Buddah also sat in a spiritual garden and asked vedas why 9in contrast to many things) coincedently the bible says that jesus did that too. There are just soo many things that make christianty seem like a cheap knock-off...

Jesus himself was pretty much a knock off of the Greek god Asclepius. Here. (http://tinyurl.com/b2k89)
Beta do you have a link to that, it sounds interesting.

It's quite interesting how many Jesus like people existed before Jesus was even born.
These aren't my sources and I haven't read through them so I give no guarantee on accuracy they do have some information (found from external links on wikipedia),

Jesus is Mithra. They're fucking identical.

Mithraism was a sort of competing cult in some parts of Europe during the first centuries of Christianism. There are differences between both religions, although they may, I think, both have been founded on the same events.
So...there is a universal knowledge/interest/relationship where experiencing God is concerned.
Like the seeds of a plant that are widely dispursed and carried away by the wind, the sea, the rain, etc. Where was it's true orgin?
How can one truly know what is, or is not, a "knock off".

I agree, Noah's Ark is very similar to a chapter of The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Some of the accounts portraying Jesus as a quite Buddhist/Hindu thinker are very convincing. The Gospel of Thomas alone is persuasive enough for me, I mean come on the guy is coming out with lines like "For this reason I say, if one is whole, one will be filled with light, but if one is divided, one will be filled with darkness." Obviously not a direct citation of the yin yang, but an influence? Sounds like it to me.

But Christianity as a whole is one of the least original religions the world has ever seen, it's an almost total amalgamation of various other religions, particularly pagan ones. As well as that it also drew heavily on the Egyptian spiritual systems, with an emphasis on the fierce patriarchal god of the old testament (from the pharaohs) and the god incarnate who died, was resurrected, and offered salvation (Osiris).
Although in the end, if you nit pick enough, pretty much all the religions use the same basic ideas that have been around ever since man started wondering about these things. Hmm... progress.
