Despite all scientific and intellectual theories, along with your morals; how can you beleive in a god??

Honestly, if there was a god.. Why would he create us, he\she is perfect, he\she has no needs. It would be unnecessary to create us.

Who created god? If god has 'parents or creators', and he is perfect. Then, they would have been perfect. Therefore if they are perfect, they have no needs, therefore no reason to create it.

If there was a god, he must have been a very sadistic and cruel being. Why would he send someone, who didn't beleive in him, to eternal pain and suffering. Why would he punish us for eternity, after we had commited these 'crimes'. Why would he let us murder and rape and steal, then let us into eternal bliss, just because we beleived that he was real.

Personally I think that it's an insecurity problem. I think that people don't want to admit that they have no real affect on events on the large scale, so they make up stories and religeons to make themselves become more important.

I also think that the 'creators' of the bible, by that I mean the Vatican, that they changed the bible in order to help them and\or influence the people that they needed to influence. I think that having Jesus forgive people of all of their sins was just a way to gain the peoples acceptance by making religeon 'easier' to handle in the balance of daily life.

Honestly, if you want to post blindly religeous beleifs, and are totally unreasonable.... just don't reply. I will disregard anything of that sort. I just want to know your general opinions on why, and the other topics that I have covered.

It's just so much easier, I can't understand what all those smartass "scientists" are saying with their fancy "scientific method" I have the God given truth of the Bible.

Oh yea, and you seem hell bent on giving the attributes of the Christian god to a supreme being in general.

Honestly, if there was a god.. Why would he create us, he\she is perfect, he\she has no needs. It would be unnecessary to create us.

- Why do people masturbate? Because they can and they're bored. May be god was bored and he just could. Or may be it wasn't a concious decision, may be we're all just facets of god. May be he created us because without someone to believe in him, his existance is meaningless.

Who created god?

- May be god isn't a person so he didn't have to be created. Ever see that MC Escher picture of the two hands drawing each other?

If there was a god, he must have been a very sadistic and cruel being. Why would he send someone, who didn't beleive in him, to eternal pain and suffering. Why would he punish us for eternity, after we had commited these 'crimes'. Why would he let us murder and rape and steal, then let us into eternal bliss, just because we beleived that he was real.

- Supposing god exists, he created everything and he can control whatever he want to. But, he gave us freewill and reign over the world, so really any fucked upness in the world would be our doing, not gods. And may be there isn't any hell. Not all religions believe in hell, you know.

I also think that the 'creators' of the bible, by that I mean the Vatican,

- The Vatican did not write the bible. They've re-written and translated it several times, but there is an (desputable) original version. It's called The Torah and it's in Aramaic and Hebrew.

Cheers,

If it wasnt for rape/murder/pain or suffering they we cannot appreciate feeling safe or good.

I had those same questions in my head when I was a bit younger and all the adults around me believed in an "imaginery friend in the sky", I compared it to Santa in my head. It is kind of like slavery, it is so obviously wrong but that has little effect on beliefs. If a belief makes life easier for people, they adopt it.

Because he/she can. If I was a god, I would make all sorts of stuff.

And then watch it fight.

I don't think God is perfect. I think God is, in a way, human. Your whole argument's based on an Abrahamic God, which I, admittedly, don't really understand. And I don't think it would be human nature to wonder about the meaning of life and whether we really do have a god and everything if it was all just random. I think God's more of a pattern in the greater scheme of things. Of course it's there, in one way or another. I'm just trying to see it. Maybe I never will. But that's okay, cuz I'm convinced, and it doesn't matter too much to me whether you agree or not.
