Now I don't know much about the bible, so hold that against me if you feel like it. I'm reading "The Revelation" due to the fact my aunt wants me to create a peice of art about it, and how I interpreted it.

Anyway I'm on 2:23, and jesus straight up says "I will strike her children dead".

What a nice guy! He pretty much says "change your attitude/veiws, or i'll make you sick and kill your children."

I have to agree with you. After reading a few different versions of the bible comparatively, I've come to feel that Jesus wasn't as nice a guy as people make him out to me. Specifically how he's considered to be the only perfect man who ever lived. Well, if he's the idea of perfect then we're all doing pretty okay.

I never claimed to know him, or want to even know him. I read a a part of a book [the bible] and gave my input on what he said. He said he would kill that womens children, thats all i'm going on.

I never said he was a great guy, and talked about all the good things he has done. That wasent the point of my thread.

The point of my thread is simple. Look at what he said, and make your judgment on that alone. He sounds like a real dickhead.

The problem is, you're reading the bible and trying to get a carnal understanding of it, so you're going to get just that. When I read that, I see that Jesus is talking about a Nation (Church) 2:21 He's given time to repent, and she's refused. So Her and her followers, and leaders will suffer the consequences. NO! It isn't God's will for man to suffer.. but when YOU go out of GOD'S will he has NO CHOICE but to let whatever happens to you happen to you, because somewhere, you got involved in sin, and stayed involved in it so long, you forgot what the sin was that made you miss it to begin with, and THAT'S WHEN THE ENEMY attacks, and GOD HAS TO ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN, because YOU CHOSE IT.

Reading this you'll still not understand.

Maybe if I ever belive in your god, then I will fully understand what you are trying to get across. I think I get the gist of what you are saying though, but right now i'm doing just fine how I am, beliving what I think is right.
