Yep, and Jesus didn't perform any miracles until his baptism.

I was 12, when I got baptized,

You realize it's pure symbolism and that an actual ritual really needn't be performed for anything to "unbaptise" you?

I was christened at birth also. So you had holy water sprinkled on you? Big deal. What's the harm? Pure symbolism.

Edit: debating w/myself over whether "needn't" is a word http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif)

Baptised as a catholic at birth, but meh, I consider myself unbaptised.

Edit: HellzShellz please stop assuming the bible is fact.

You really don't get the Christian condition, do you?

I don't think he does.

The bible IS fact to me. If the Inspired Word of God says it, I BELIEVE IT! It's my everything!

I was baptised in december of last year.

We mormons believe that a child cannot sin, and that until you turn 8 you need not be baptised.

I don't know about you guys but I find the whole "baptism by sprinkling at birth" to be fairly idiotic.

1)Jesus was baptised by immersion

2)Jesus was old enough to understand his baptism when he was baptised.

We also believe that if you do certain egregious sins you can be excommunicated, and therefore your baptism would be null and void. I would assume that the catholics have something similar.

Birth. I'm fairly sure there's an 800 number to call to register for the mark of Satan [666] and un-baptize you.

At birth. but i belive one should wait until one is old enough to deside. 30 sounds about right.
