I watched a documentary on Satanism tonight. It had a part in it with a Italian Catholic who performed Exorcisms on people who had been possessed by the devil. Which was quite stressful to watch. He does this several times a week… Anyway, my question is this…

How is a man, Human in Nature, remotely or even possibly able to remove the root of all evil from a person. This is fricken Satan we’re talking about…

But it got me thinking… If one human has the power to remove Lucifer from several people a week, why don’t all the priests get together and remove him from this world forever…

He doesn't have the power. Jesus does. "In the name of Christ..."

In the name of Jesus Christ.

That's right. That's why I can't stand watching movies like that. The priest comes in and does a hayayaya thing, and I'm like, USE JESUS NAME!! USE JESUS NAME!! Anyways.

In order to remove evil from within somebody(Lucifer is a different entity completely), a priest, like Paradise Lost said, must recieve the power "In the name of Christ..."

you know anything about this Lost?

I'm not so sure... I saw this priest cure 5 people in one go... And it said the last pope updated the procedure for Exorcism, the first time this had been done for 400 years... The Vatican is now training more and more priests in this procedure...

clearly, this is not the case...

Edit: sorry Lou Reed, who is Lucifer?
