Just so everyone know, this theory is coming from my secular mind, and a literal interpetation of my readings. I'm not saying it is true or not, but that this is how I came across this.

Me and my roommate were having a conversation that eventually led into religion and the bible. So to confirm our thoughts, we read the first chapter of genesis and came to 2 new theories which neither one of us ever heard of.

Genesis 1:29 "...and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat."

Genesis 1:30 "And to every beast of the earth... I have given every green herb for meat"

Ok our understanding of those two phrases is that god ordered humans to eat fruits and plants as our meat. But the animals were given the plants and fruits and given the choice to decide if they want to eat plants or other animals. So it can be understood as an order from god for humans to be vegetarians since our meat is the plant.

That was the easy conclusion. The next one is kind of tough. Follow me with this one.

Genesis 1:11 "... let the earth bring forth (grass, herbs, fruits..) after his kind

Genesis 1:21 "And god created... every living creature that moveth... after his kind"

Genesis 1:24/25 "(more creatures created in god's kind)"

Genesis 1:26 "...Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, (and humans to dominate the plants and animals)"

So the first question is, why was plants and animals created with god's kind (his attributes, kindness, intelligence, traits...), and humans created with only an image and likeness. Are plants and animals closer to god in the way they were made with god's kind? And are we humans just a superficial outside copy of god? If so then animals and plants are to be regarded as the "choosen" creature, and we humans just living under a false understanding that we are superior? And if so, then why would we be created to dominate god's kind? And we are so successful in dominating and domesticating the animals and plants that we are now moving into god's turf? I mean, are we dominating god by replacing him with science, and will eventually every question be answered through science to the point where the belif of god would not exist and therefore making him extinct?

It is early, my thought not completely organized, but thats the basic idea.
