Someone I know who thinks he knows a lot but is just a dumbfuck says science can disprove christianity. I' not a believer but I say it can't be disproven. His reasoning is because it's been proven that the dinosaurs existed before the humans and it ssays in the bible in the beginning god created man first. What is the truth?
I don't think science can disprove Christianity. Even if you prove that the world wasn't designed, that wouldn't effect the truth of much in the Bible. The seven days would just be metaphorical then.

Disregarding the larger question, and just focusing on your friend's 'proof,' the bible says that God created the animals before he created Man.
'animals' would probably include dinosaurs.

man was created last in the bible (your right your freind is a dumb fuck) and science can not completly prove anything we take to be truth at
this time.
think about it before isaac newton most people beleived that the earth was the center of the universe, not because they were stupid, but they didn't have enough technology to prove it.
there fore science also cannot disprove anything that can't be scientificaly proven false(ghosts, psychics, religion).

Heh........ The lead singer is Christian.
Yes and no and yes.
If we could go back in time and take research tools it would be possible to show Jesus was fully human and who the father was, it would also be possible to show that Jesus didn't actually die and come back to life and then vanish.
However, since we can't go back in time, unless some major evidence is uncovered, science can't disprove basic claims of christianity only say that it is most likely false based on evidence we have.
However... again, there are some claims it can disprove and thus some versions of christianity it can disprove. Such as fundamentalism. Science can show the world is older than 6000 years and there wasn't a global flood as described in the bible.

One can find enough inconsistencies in the Bible itself without having to resort to science.

The Bible/God makes truth claims. If one believes that God knows everything (is omniscient) and one is able to disprove a truth claim made by this omniscient being, then everything falls apart and we really have nothing to worry about.

only in the first creation story, in the second one, man was created first, and he named all of the animals.
(to those interested, the second, older story comes from older, shamanistic creation myths; both are in genesis)

actually, it is biologically possible to impregate yourself, but is extremly rare, as most hermaphodites are infertile...
Christianity can't be disproven unlike some religions because the bible is so darn vague and rarely goes in depth with it's information so it remains interpretive and interpretations will just continue to change if they're disproven.
