What?
He's wondering where the original Bible is, who has it, and whether or not he wants it.

Ahhh. There is no original Bible left. They had to keep transposing it. Remember, there were no printing presses or copy machines. What they would do, is have at least two scribes who transpose from the original. If any discrpencies were noted by human error, they were thrown out and required to start over. They didn't have erasers either. LOL. The oldest manuscripts are the Babylonian Talmud, the Alexanrdrian Talmud, the Greek Septuagint, the Latin Vulgate, and the fairly new discrovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Other than that, time has destroyed the papyrus material that was once used to write on. There are folklores that certain Jewish groups have some originals, or that the Vatican has them tucked away in secret vaults, but that is just heresay.

I almost forgot.... There was no such thing as the 'Bible' back in the day. What we call the 'Bible' is a collection of 66 scrolls written over various and vast periods of time.

The Bible is a colection of books. Nobody can agree on how many. There are many very old copies of each of these books but it is unlikley that any of them are original. None of these texts were written in english. There are diferences between these anceint texts of the same passages ranging from a diferent word to whole lines changing the meaning of the passage.
So if you want a definitive infalible Bible you must become a fundy and pick up a King James Version. Alot of them claim that this is the word of God and superior to any text including anceint "originals" written in their original languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic).

There is no differnce in the meaning. While it is true that certain words from certain languages only fit best within it's own language, does not negate that the meaning would be entirely lost. For instance, try interpreting "Shit face whoremonger", in Chinese... The Chinese doubtfully have things comparable, but that doesn't mean that the translation will be lost. Also, there are 5 to 6 different words for 'love' in the Greek, denoting different types of love, as opposed to English which only has one. Likewise, the Inuit have at least 20 different words to describe snow, but it's consistency, pack, icy, fluffy, etc... But we know very well that they are refering to the snow.
So if you want a definitive infalible Bible you must become a fundy and pick up a King James Version. Alot of them claim that this is the word of God and superior to any text including anceint "originals" written in their original languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic).
The King Jimmy is actually a really good translation for what they had back then. And this has been proven by comparing them to Hebrew texts. I own a concordance as well as Jewish Bible and I can assure you the translations have not been lost. Aside from this, the Dead Sea Scrolls contain almost every writer of the Tenach in it, with the exception, of I believe the Book of Ruth. This shows us that the original translation has been maitained very well.

Also, if you want to argue from a theological standpoint, it's impossible to have an original Bible (in the sense of it being the unadulterated word of God). Human beings are flawed; God can only communicate with a human being; therefore, the Word of God would be corrupted as soon as a human conceived of it, and it would be further corrupted when the human attempted to transcribe it.
Therefore, no original Bible exists.

Didn't say that it wasn't. But the only people who say it is the infalible word of God often believe things like the Earth being the center of the universe that was created on Oct 22nd 4004 BC.

I don't understand this singling out of Christians who once thought the earth was the center of the universe. The entire world thought that once. Are you mentioning this because some people 'still' believe it? Is that your objection to it?
As for the universe being created on Oct 22, 4004 BC... I've never heard that.

Yes there are some people that actualy believe that the sun orbit the earth. There are even a few that think the universe begain at the birth of the christ. The Oct 22nd 4004 BC as the date of creation come from and atempt to learn the age of the universe by adding up the ages of people in the Bible. I believe 35% of American think that this "exsperiment" is valid.
