My brothers and a couple friends are going to have our first church service on Saturday and we need to know how to bless objects. Two people are bringing bb guns to be blessed and one person is bringing a real gun. Also, can I do the same thing to make holy water?

Why would you need anything blessed? especially guns? Fighting vampires anytime soon?

At first I thought you were doing the blessing... or are you? Just ask your priest to bless it, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

They want the stuff blessed.

EDIT: I'm a reverend of the Universal Life Church. I plan on blessing the stuff.

Call me old fashioned but back in my day we needed a priest to bless things.

Oh god is the ULC that church that will ordain anyone? This is why you need a formal training, I know a Bishop myself and seems like an insult...

Yes they are. And a lot of people don't consider me a reverend, but I do and that's all I care about. You should ask him his opinion on ordaining anyone. I think it's pretty dumb, but they can do what they want with their church.

I could go and look through this manual misal I have and give you the exact phrases in english and latin but basicly all blessing stuff is is saying that you are blessing it and by what authority you are doing it with. ie: in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, His Noodly Greatness the Flying Spageti Monster, Bob whoever you think you get your power from.

I used to have some respect for the ULC until they sent me an email offering me a chance to get my story in a book of spiritualy important people that I could then buy.

Maybe you should do a holy dance, then sprinkle the gun with holy water. You know, that sort of stuff. The only important part is that it's just gotta look cool.

Okay, but maybe not the holy water part. I dunno if they want me to get their guns wet, but I'll ask. I planned on dancing around like a retard and "speaking in tongues." One of the reverends is going to do the Retard Dance. It is a funny dance that he made and he looks retarded when he does it. This is gonna be the awesomest/funniest church ever. There's 25 people that are expected and there are probably going to be others coming also, this is gonna be really fun.
