Are there any designated times to fast besides Lent? Can you fast at anytime?

Its good to like maybe not eat meat on Friday. You're supposed to do something. Maybe go to Mass. Just sort of something extra. You can fast anytime, though, thats good to do.

I beleive you are suposed to before you take communion so Jesus does not get mixed up with breakfast. Probably a better reason than that though.

fasting before communion is to just a small sacrifice.
