Muslims assholes are upset with anything cool form western media including any cool cartoon. It is enough that you remember any popular cartoon you saw until today.

Why should I have to respect other peoples religion? If they can justify it then i will respect it but until then i have to come to the conclusion that they are making a stupid decision in terms of where they place their beliefs. You can't just retreat behind a wall of faith and say that you can't criticise faith.

Actually I think Muslims newspapers publish anti-semitic cartoons almost daily. It's not Jesus, but it's disrespecting culture.

And, yeah, I want to see these too. My teacher said he's seen them, but he wouldn't show them to us because the "might offend someone".

Bastard.

Normally I vehemently disagree with everything this woman says, but she's right on the mark this time as far as Im concerned. For the record, I also hate it when Christians have a fit about representations of their religion in the media(like Britney Spears' upcoming appearance on Will & Grace) or Jews when something remotely anti-semitic is said.

But how come when the Christians and Jews get upset it generally just something we can all laugh about, but when the Muslims get upset theres gunfire in the streets, calls for revenge and eventually a building or an airplane explodes into flames?

Chalking it up to cultural difference is apologist BS....

This is an issue of free press and expression and I'm appalled about the lack of coverage it seems to be receiving in the US.

Why don't we chalk it up to certain people not being culturally relative? In America we have a culture of freedom but in the middle east it is not always that way. Instead of banding them as extremists why can't we just respect their way of life? There will never be a liberal middle east.

Mostly because their 'way of life' includes killing those who do not agree with them.

The cartoons portraied the prophet mohamed as a terrorist, and thusly all of islam by default, rocks at a beehive anyone?

Anyways, the riots represent a small potion of the muslim community, it's just the part thats on the news the most often. The rest of the muslim community generally condems this kind of behavior, though who knows for how long if we keep treating them all like terrorists for the actions of the few.

I didn't see anyone declaring that all of the U.S. was commy hippies after the world trade organization riots back in the day, dispite the size of them.

we have freedom of speech and freedom to express ones beliefs.newspapers in free societies choose not to print all kinds of material, because it serves no greater good!the free press has the right to print these things, but also has the right to decide not to waste time on propagada and crap.the cartoons were in a private nwespaper,a small readership,3 months ago!!!!left alone, one mans stupidity will go.do you remember the pope-as-child-molester cartoon?david irving-holocaust denier?the virgin mary in a condom?all furores over one persons pathetic attempt for controversy and fame.let alone these have gone down the hole, this will too,IF you let it alone.
