First of all, that's old testament law. Christians, particularly gentiles, do not follow Jewish law.

Second, killing a man who is trying to kill you is entirely different than hunting people down and murdering them.

The only way they can be deemed un-Christian through their actions is through either a Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican or Presbyterian frame of mind. All of the other (noncult-like) branches emphasize salvation by faith alone. Anyone who said they are not "true Christians" in this thread is, by their very own definition of what can disqualify one as a "true Christian," not "true Christians," for you have judged them when there is only one judge in Christianity. Is fair to say they are bad Christians.

And we all know that this was posted simply to prove that Christians can be jsut as destructive as Muslims. Because some Muslims misinterpret the Hadith, that means it is ok for some Christians to misinterpret Leviticus and Psalms? It does not matter what Muslims have done. actually from what i remember from christianity the only two important laws were "love man, love god" that is the most important law of christianity. If you believe jesus died for you sins and you follow that rule then i think you are a christian.

In Nigeria Muslims started killing Christians with machetes and shotguns last week. I think like 46 people were killed.

Actually Jesus specifically quoted this verse to say that instead of this way, you are to turn the other cheek. However, in the old testament, the 'eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth' principle was talking about people within God's nation. So Jesus was basically saying instead of having an eye for an eye when it comes to conflict in the church, you should turn the other cheek.

But they already killed christians, so what's to stop the muslims for killing more christians, e.g. you. One could interpret the verse so as if the man has already "risen up to kill you."
