You really hit the hammer on the head there. This will be locked.
I believe God is Immortal
He is formless and was never born
never will die
always existent from the beginning of time
and forever will be
my belief and what it says in my religion

Supposedly if you really believe in God:
He's immortal, been there since the beginning of time. No clue why time just started with a God. If your not sure about what I just said, start at the beginning of this mini-paragraph.
I don't think anyone could be right in their answer just yet, simply because only god apparently knows.

God simply is. Who says he has to exist within the realm of time? He created this universe with time, that doesn't mean that he is subject to it. He has no beginning or end, and doesn't need one.

all religions of a spiritual nature are inventions of man. he has created an entire system of gods with nothing more than his carnal brain, just because he has an ego and cannot accept it he has to externalize it into some great spiritual device which he calls "GOD"
Well, the problem is, even if we could answer that...who created the creator of God?

I believe that God exsits outside of the dimension of time, and that is how he can be omni-present, and I don't think that the human mind can comprehend the consept of eternity.

Allah have sent 124 thousand prophets and messengers ( anbia ) to this world for only 1 purposed. Which is to tell human the meaning of LAA ILAHA ILALLAH.
Which deeper meaning is, Creation of allah cannot gives harm or benefit, without the permission of ALLAH. Only Allah gives harm and benefits.
Water cannot quench our thirst.It is ALlah who quenches our thirst. Medicine connot reliefes and cures our pain, only Allah cures our pain. The medicine, food, money, is only in- between.
So ALLAH have created in each man, a heart.
This heart is so small and the characteristic of this heart is, It can only be filled with 1 love at 1 moment. in other words it cannot support two love in one time.
So it`s either the heart is filled with the greatness of Allah, or it is filled with ghayrullah ( Other then Allah. ).
So, to fill our heart with the greatness of Allah we must Always talk about the greatness of Allah. Today we always talk about the greatness of the creation of Allah, so the greaness of thess ghayrullah enters in our heart.
i.e. = we talk about a lady, how beautiful she is, how sweet is her smile, etc, so the greatness of this lady enters your heart. same thing goes when you talk about money, food, medicine.
So muslim scolars tells us, the first thing we must do is deny. That what our eyes are seeing is deception, lies and untrue. our eyes sees that when we eat our hunger is gone. That is a lie. What the prophet teaches us is that, Allah is the one who gives you food and dissapear your hunger.
See beyond the food. Deny and confirm. Comfirm that Allah is the one who relief hunger and quench thirst.
If a man wants to repair or create someting, he or she needs a very wide place and good lighting..
But Allah creates human in a very dark and cramped place, which is in the 3 layers of our mothers womb.
Allah tells us in the Qur`an in the surah al-ikhlas-
Al-Ikhlas

Al-Ikhlas (Arabic: سورة الإخلاص ) is the 112th Sura of the Qur'an, a short 4-verse declaration of God's absolute unity (tawhid), rejecting the doctrines of polytheism and trinitarianism. Al-Ikhlas means "the purity" or "the refining", meaning to remain pure and faithful or a state of purging of impurities.
Bismallahi Ar-Rahmanir Raheem
1. Qul huwa Allahu ahadun {Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;}
2. Allahu alssamadu {Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;}
3. Lam yalid walam yoolad {He begets not, nor was He begotten;}
4. Walam yakun lahu kufuwan ahadun {And there is none comparable unto Him.}
In Islam the purpose of this surah in the Noble Qur'an is mainly to establish the oneness of the Creator. The fact that He is the only one who is eternal, and needs no one else's help, amplifies His greatness to Muslims.
It is disputed whether this is a Makkan or Madinan sura, although the former seems more probable, particularly since it seems to be have been alluded to by Bilal, who, when he was being tortured by his polytheist master, is said to have repeated "Ahad, Ahad!" (unique, referring as here to Allah.) It is reported from Ubayy ibn Ka'b that it was revealed after the polytheists asked "O Muhammad! Tell us the lineage of your Lord."

None of you have made the obvious point.
Either:
1)At some point, something must have come from nothing, or;
2)There is something that is eternal.
As 1) is impossible, we are forced to conclude that 2) must be correct. That thing, whatever it is, is God.

Didn't "god" create "something from nothing" though?
