how dow e know god is the one we should be worshipping, im a catholic myself but this is my thought, how do we know that the higharchy of religion arent holding a book holding information on whats really going on...nobody knows actually, but if you read the celestine prophecies it might give you an idea, idk really maybe this is a waste of a topic, but who knows really the govt seems to liek to keep the truth from us so how do we kno that religion is no different?im not saying i dont beleieve in god or anything like that, but what if we are really talking to the wrong person when we say god help me?nobody seems to have nething good to say about who we call the devil but mayeb we got it wrong, maybe thier is a book liek the one stated in teh celestine prophecies a book written by the beliefs of the devil...the bible seems to be really available these days go to a hotel open a drower and hey look a bible! reason i bring this up, what if religion is really the work of the govt, think bout it in the bible it was said that before the ten commandments were writteen to establish that if you do not live by these 10 rules you go to hell, everybody was stealing everybody was killing, then all of a sudden the ten comandments came out and they were like o no hell dont wanna go their...sound firmiliar?

bill of rights maybe? 10 amendments based on how we are able to live our every day lives on by our freedoms..kinda like the amendments huh even sounds the same commandments amendments? but really think bout it people that live by the bill of rights r in politics and arent breaking ne laws, people that live by the 10 commandments are living normal lives and are dead set that they r going to heaven for it, so the seperation of church and state?only one that we arent aloud to talk bout it in schools...what the big seperation?thats all i gotta say bout it

peace

You slaughtered the English language in the above. You ripped it to shreds with a chainsaw and immersed the pieces in acid. That just wasn't English. That was some weird, alien mutation. Are you by chance Nigerian? Those retarded fucks speak English better than you do. And your post has some hardcore-ly retarded content.

Umm first off, USE PARAGRAPHS AND PUNCTUATION.

Now as to your question. NO ONE KNOWS FOR A FACT. Sure there are stories and claims and books that appear to show a "god", but none of it has been proven. The only proven thing is that evolution does in fact happen.

Here's one for ya: you're an ignorant religious person.

No religion can be proved. That's why it's called "faith." Sure, I call it "wack-ass bullshit," but the religious really seem to get their kicks from Buddhesus and Vishnammed, so who am I to stop them? If it really doesn't matter, then let them have their way.

And you're argument turned into one against the seperation of church and state. If you want to say two things in a thread, make the title appropriate, douchebag.

Firstly, there are some really nasty, insecure people on Totse, some are included in this thread. Now back to your post, we will never really know which is the correct book, or if any are right. You just pick the religious YOU find to be most truthful and follow it.

First of all, ignore the Bible and holy books in general. They are mostly myth and metaphor. Second, ignore organized religion--it is mostly crowd control. Especially ignore Christianity--it is a religion of fear and denial.

There is one god, call him/her/it/them/whatever what you will. There are many other various and sundry spirits, devas, and so on--god does not micro-manage.

Nor does he/she/et cetera judge or punish. God loves and creates--anything that is not about love and/or creativity has nothing to do with god.

You know this - HOW?

Seriously... we will not know until we die if there is a God or not. And we will not know until we die if God is loving or a cruel SOB.

I agree about all religions being wrong though.

I - personally - am an atheist and really doubt the existence of a god.

I really hate being a dick, but seriously, you're a total idiot. Perhaps start asking the big questions after you learn to properly articulate them my young friend.
