making connections between the beast and the lamb?

Are they the same and whats with all the angels with superpowers?

Is heaven a pyrimaid (four gates) and why is it called the lambs book of life?

Also it has come to my attention that there is no mention of God's involvement until the end of the passage, why is that? Could 'nt God end the beast if he wanted?

Also the people hear/d the lambs thoughts. Why? and why is it called revelations?

It also says the lamb takes a bride but may recive the Morning Star, why is that?

Who wrote Revelations? The one in the Holy Bible is John's Revelation and is credited to John the Baptist I believe. I'm not too knowledgable with that text though to be honest... There are many Revelation texts though, you should be more precise next time damnit!

I'm a Seventh-Day Adventist. So my views will reflect that. I believe that the book of revelation was meant to be a story that was filled with propehetic symbols of things to come.

The Sea beast in Revelation 13:1-10,15-81 is the papacy. These are my facts for this:

1) RISES UP OUT OF THE SEA(Revelation 13:1)

Water represents people (Revelation 17:15). The papacy arose in western Europe where it was highly populated.

2) RECEIVES ITS POWER, SEAT, & AUTHORITY FROM THE DRAGON (Revelation 13:2)

Satan inspired Herod, king for the pagan Roman empire, Pagan Rome turned its power over to the church of Rome. The Pope (“King” & “Pontifex Maximum”) is Caesar’s successor.

3) BECOMES A WORLD WIDE POWER (Revelation 13:3,7)

During the middle ages the papacy was a world wide power. The pope has world wide influence. “Catholic” means universal.

4) IS GUILTY OF BLASPHEMY (Revelation 13:1,5,6)

Blasphemy in the Bible is man claiming to forgive sins (Luke 5:21) and claiming to be God (John 10:33). The pope claims to forgive sins by virtue of the power given him by God. “Another God on earth”

5) RULES FOR 42 PROPHETIC MONTHS (Revelation 13:5)

42 months = 1,260 Days or years. (Ezekiel 4:6 says that a prophetic day is = to one literal year). Papal Rome became a worldwide power in A.D. 538. Received a death blow in 1798 when the pope was captured.

6) RECEIVES A DEADLY WOUND THAT HEALED (Revelation 13:3)

Deadly wounnd in 1798 – Berthier took the pope captive to France where he died in captivity. Now the pope is the best-known person of the 20th century, has personal relationships with 91 countries. He’s prepared for world wide rule now.

7) IS A RELIGIOUS POWER THAT RECEIVES WORSHIP (Revelation 13:4,8)

The papacy is obviously a religious power that receives worship.

8) PERSECUTES GOD’S SAINTS (Revelation 13:7)

The papacy persecuted and destroyed Christians during the Middle Ages.

9) HAS THE MYSTERIOUS NUMBER 666 (Revelation 13:18)

‘VICARIUS FILII DEI’ = 666 (Roman numeral value) The name on the pope’s miter. It means “Vicar of the Son of God”

10)IS LED BY ONE SUPREME MAN (Revelation 13:18)

When we think of the papacy we naturally think of “The Pope”

Now on to the lamb, Dragon, and The 144,000. The Lamb is Jesus Christ. Revelation 14:1-5 Talks about the lamb standing with the 144,000 thousand. The 144,000 have the lambs father's name written on their forheads.

This means that if Jesus is the Lamb, the 144,000 who are standing with him are his followers(People who believe in Jesus). And Then the Lambs father would logically be God.

The Dragon, now, is Satan. In Revelation 13:3,4 it says that all the would marveled and followed the beast after he had been healed. It says in verse 4 that the Dragon gave power to the beast. If the beast is the papacy then God certainly would not have given him power for long. The Papacy doesn't follow the Bible in a lot of things. Satan would have to give the Papacy power.

ahhh, i need to gather all my information together and make a big thread about it. I'll do that later on in a few days.

On to the "angels with superpowers" as you called them. I'm not sure exactly what you mean. There are several groups of angels with different jobs in Revelation. I'm guessing you mean the 7 angels with bowls of the wrath of God in Revelation Chapter 16. They are seven things that God will pour out at the end time to all the wicked. The ones saved in christ (144,000 or Great Multitude) will not have to worry about these things. God will Protect them.

Here are the seven bowls that they pour.

1) Loathsome Sores

2) The Sea Turns to Blood

3) The Waters Turn to Blood

4) Men Are Scorched with a great Fire(Heat)

5) Darkness and Pain

6) Euphrates Dried Up

This area also states that there will be three unclean spirits (Demons) that will come out through the dragon, beast and false prophet and they will perform false signs

7) The Earth Utterly Shaken by earthquakes and large Hailstones.

That's all for tonight. I will work on wrighting a decent thread over the next couple days.
