I'm sure I punctuated 'Jesus's' wrong. Ah well.

I was talking to a christian about the existence of Jesus, and I gave them the quick version of the argument against- Such a remarkable man would have made quite a fuss and historians would have written him down considering he fed 5000 people and so on, the Romans at that time were writing everything down and keeping trial records and they should've recorded his.

They then said that the Romans didn't like Jesus obviously and that they didn't want to write anything down and instead tried to cover it up. They also said the people he preached to and fed were illiterate.

I don't actually know the answers as I'm not a scholar and I didn't find it in my research. The articles I read don't say anything about whether the people could write, or if the Romans would have wanted to cover up the Jesus story.

I'm guessing some of you have an answer, so could you help me out?

Jesus'. If it ends in 's' you don't need to add an 's
