After all, what's the best way of keeping people following you? Tell them that they will be tortured for all eternity if they don't.

It's a brilliant addition, and one of the only reasons that Christianity exists today.

Don't kill yourself. It's extremely selfish as it will depress everyone around you and give them extremem grief. Not to mention, you are a conscious entity and lucky to be one of the very few chunks of matter capable of being happy. If you're depressed, do what you gotta do to get better. There are hotlines and stuff. Go out running at night. Climb a tree. Look at the stars. Find the inner peace and understanding that christians call 'God' and that they believe makes them better then everyone else because we don't call it 'God.'

Run away. Take a vacation. Go for a long walk. But seriously, don't kill yourself because people do love you. At the very least, your subconscious mind loves you and enjoys your company (christian 'Jesus').

Besides, the technological curve is expanding very quickly. Trans-human technology will exist eventually, and depending on how old you are you may get to experience it.

We may be able to end old age, and you may be able to live forever. Considering how shitty modern religions are, I wouldn't count on there being a God.

Stick around for a while, the future is going to be pretty fucking fun.
