It's like The Holy Grail. It's supposedly the sword that stabbed Jesus in the ribs. It's also supposedly somewhere in Vienna, but no one knows for sure.

The Spear of Destiny or the Holy Lance

This is the spear that the roman soldier drove into jesus side while being crusified(sp?).

But besides the religious value of the spear, there is also a myth that people kill just to have the spear.

“Whosoever possesses this Holy Lance and understands the powers it serves, holds in his hand the destiny of the world for good or evil.”

The Myth is that whoever holds the lance will rule the world. No man shall harm the weilder and it is capable of defeating any opponent. Such power given to the relic and the wielder is not without a consecuence of death immediatly after loosing it.

The spear that pierced the Body of God(Jesus) has the power to change the destiny of the world for better or worse.According to the Legend...

If you can defeat any opponent why is there a penalty of death for losing it? that makes no sense. You wouldn't get rid of it yourself, and you can kill anyone with it, how could you lose it?

But if you want a more thourough explanation, ask why the Centurian stabbed Him at all. There are medical reasons. To test if someone crucified truly was dead instead of simply passing out from the pain, it was routine to stab the offender in order to check for the separation of water and blood. This is something that can't be avoided by tricking someone. When you die, blood plasma and the water in your body separate.

This is why the Romans stabbed Jesus. It was to see if He was actually dead.

And to add: There is nothing 'magical' about the spear that stabbed Jesus, nor is there magical properties to His graveclothes, i.e. the Shroud of Turin, or the Holy Grail. This is nothing more than people who think they need trinkets to make their faith real.

i heard that the Spear Of Destiny is a +5 Chaotic Evil Vicious LongSpear That bestows 5 negetive levels on any character who isnt alinged to any-evil be it neutral-evil, lawful-evil, or yep u guessed it chaotic evil. and is treated as a normal +5 Vicious LongSpear. and can be found if u beat the Gather information Check with a DC of 30.
