Nihilism is incredibly destructive to society as a whole. It is the belief that nothing matters, and nothing ever will matter. This leads to incredible cynisism about the benefits of anything and eventually a crumbling of the minds of the people as they realize that their lives are meaningless. Everybody needs a purpose. Without a purpose, what would we have? we would have nothing.

Nihilism is only the belief that your own conscious awareness is the only real thing in existence. Simply put.
